Days 19 & 20

These last few days have been good.  We made a plan to spend more time with Charlotte which meant that grandma got to spend more time in the hospital holding them each day.  Last night we went to the annual pharmacy picnic.  Kristen was a primary preceptor so it was nice for her to be there for Sarah's "graduation".  Char went with us and had a blast playing with a girl she met there named Jayla, who is a super sweet 5-yr old.

This morning we took Char out to Bumblekiss for breakfast, and then I took her to the East Portland Community Center pool, the one with the red slide.  We had a great time.  Andrew got his PICC line out today which means that he's off TPN, and all of his feedings are fortified milk.  This is a big step.  Bennett is still a little ways off, but just because he was born smaller.

We got a second primary Nurse today, Mary Kay.  She's been really good to us, and gave us the idea for taking a picture each Sunday with the kiddos and their bear.  It'll be nice to have another great nurse especially when Adrian's on vacation.  Our night nurse is Brandi, and we've been lucky to have Rachel when she's around.

We're so appreciative of all of the help from grandma and the food from friends.  It has enabled us to spend time with the boys and with Char.

This is why Kristen doesn't like CPAP change.  I like the part where you get to see their faces.

We are so lucky that people gave us the hand-me-down newborn and 3-month old clothes.  Thanks so much.

Bennett opened his eyes when Kristen was holding him, then snuggled in for a great nap.  There's always some issues keeping them bubbling during the holds but it is really good for them to be held.
