Days 25-26

Andrew continues to gain weight.  Bennett is down a little bit over the last few days after being off his TPN, but nobody seems too concerned.

Andrew got a chance to see if he was ready to be off his bubbles.  He made it an hour and then needed it back on.  He is now 3 lb 14 oz, exactly half of what Char was when she was born.

Bennett eyes wide open.  He's a third of Char's birth weight.

Char at birth - Dec 26, 2008 - 7 lb 12 oz.

Days 23 & 24 - 4th of July

It's the 4th of July.  The boys are continuing to gain weight.  Day 24 was the largest single day gain yet.  They are both up 28% from their birth weights.  Yesterday I had the chance to get back to playing soccer. It was nice to get some exercise with the added benefit that we won.  Char got to help with the "cares" of the boys.  The beds can go down so she can see in and she can get things for us.

Char with Andrew, she said "Hi baby Andrew, I'm your sister."

Day 22 - 3 full weeks

It's just after 9pm, and 3 weeks ago I was in the "R" room looking at the boys laying there motionless.  "R" stand for resuscitation.  I read the Doctor's report from the first night and one thing stuck out - "their long term prognosis is closely guarded".  These boys have come such a long way.  I'm so proud of them.

Today Bennett got his PICC line out which means that they are both eating all fortified milk without any IV fluids.  Andrew pulled his feeding tube out 2 times today and Bennett took his CPAP off.  They are starting to show signs that they are Wilson-Massings; very strong-willed.

Charlotte went to school today and it was Mason and Orion's first day.  It'll be great to have her best friends in class, and we're thrilled that the Adelmans offered to be her shuttle bus in Juli's sweet new ride.

they got measured today too

Andrew in the morning - thanks Adrian!

Day 21

Andrew had his PICC line removed yesterday which the nurse said could affect his weight a bit the first day since the cord won't be hanging off of him anymore.
